Twickenham

A red dupion silk button hat, with veiling. Perfect for a wedding, the races or afternoon tea.

The hat is trimmed with a hand made red dupion silk rose, with each petal individually cut out and shaped before adding to the base.

The veil is blocked, and then arranged around the rose to ensure it doesn’t get in the way of any champagne sipping.

The base is made in buckram, with a wire added to maintain the shape.  The whole piece is then lined with silk from Sudbury in Suffolk.

Twickenham is named after the rugby stadium, the home of English rugby. I’m a passionate rugby supporter, and always wear hats with red roses to England games!
