Checkerboard Button

A simple and elegant black and cream checkerboard  straw button hat. Slightly larger than a fascinator, but smaller than a hat, so perfect when you want to add something small to yout head as a finishing touch.

The hat is handmade by me, in my studio is rural Essex. The checkerboard base is made from a straw known as ‘buntal’ which is woven in the Phillipines. I’ve then attached a contrasting straw twist to add a little decoration
